I checked my hits here the other day.
There were six.
So, you're probably wondering what happened here, huh? Long story short, I needed a bit of a break. I've been considering dropping the current form of this story and restarting it… again… but decided not to. See, the way I'm telling the story isn't the way I want to tell it. But the problem is, I really don't know how to tell it the way I wanted to. So, I was considering scrapping everything I've done and restarting. But then I thought, why not just keep going and use this to learn how I want to tell this?
Well, okay. That works.
So here we are, with a brand new page and some actual effort put into that wall. I'm going to spend some time replacing the crappy color from the previous pages with that pattern, so it doesn't look out of place.
I like the layout of this page, but I'm not entirely happy with the drawing. I was rushing to get to inks, because I was sick of penciling. To be honest, the only part of doing this that I really, really like is the inking. It feels good to have that much control over line quality, and to see an image pull together. There's something kind of magical about it.
I also tried a different method of shading with this. It doesn't make a ton of difference, but I think it makes the colors stand out a little bit more.
